Best Swimmers in the World

I learned swimming through self study although my dad enrolled me a swimming lesson when I was kinder. I didn't learned a lot from there because I was too scared to my instructor for he always throw me to the pool. When I got on my fourth year in college, i tried to join the swimming event in Intercollegiate Athlete Competition. I got a place! From first to third, I'm the "out of place". But anyway, it's a great experience by having more friends through that sport!

It was August 30 of 2010 when Jubilee Christian Academy teachers had a retreat at Mainit Resort. My dad and my mom invited me to join the retreat for they were the principal and adminstrator of the school.

When we got their, I was the first one who got into the pool. There were poeple that are also swimming when I got into the pool. As I sit down to the pool, I watched the kids that are swimming in the pool. It seems like that really enjoy swimming. They really had fun by having their big smiles on their face! I enjoyed watching them.

As I look at their smiles on their face, I concluded to myself that they are the best swimmers in the world because I learned three things from them: 1) Forget about the past, they kids didn't even think about what happened in the past while swimming, instead they enjoy their moment on having swimming. They choose to forget if somebody hurt them yesterday what is important is that they make their better today by enjoying the water. 2) Choose to enjoy TODAY, the kids just enjoyed their moment on the pool by having a smile on their face. We as a grown up people, we tend to think about what happened in the past like the people who hurt us. But we should do what the kids does, enjoying what we have today and have a smile on your face! Yesterday is already done, you can't change it even single second of it but you can change today by making better choices right now at this very moment while you are reading this! 3) Hope for tomorrow, the kids don't worry about on what their going to eat after they swim because they know that their guardians or parents would provide them the food after. Same thing on what our Father in Heaven would do, He will provide all our needs. There's nothing to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry for itself!

Before I end this note I would like to share the line that I'll never forget from the movie"Kung Fu Panda"
"Yestery is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a GIFT, that's why it is called PRESENT"

He Makes Your Love Story

I often ask the elder people about their love stories on how they met their spouse... One old lady told me, she was just forced to marry his husband because of their tradition in Tayabas. But later on their relationship as husband and wives, she learned to love his husband. For her, "It's easy to learn to love. You just need to decide." Love is a verb that involves your decision.

It was past 8:30 in the evening of July 6, 2010 when Me and my Lolo had a chat together... My Lolo only got his education until Grade 4 because at that time in their barrio at Sariaya, the elementary level are only up to Grade 4 only. You have to move to the town if you want to pursue your studies in Grade 5 onwards. My Lolo is always one of the top of the class. He never got the first but he is always on the second and third rank. His teacher noticed his ability in academics. His teacher told him that they are willing to support him to continue his study at the town but unfortunately his father object to opportunity. Instead, he let my Lolo go to work with him.

One time, when my Lolo is about 20 of age, he and his father have gone to San Mateo, Laguna. For his father is a native there. He met my Lola at Calauan, a near town to San Mateo. He fell in love with her. He courted her and of course my Lola said yes after a few months of courting. Yeppee! After months or year, they decided to get married. One day my Lolo decided to go back to Saraiya to start a living their because he and his mother in law had a hard time. They begat 5 children, the third one is my mom:)

Before my Lola passed away December of 2007, she and my Lolo had a chat with each other reminiscing their love story before they met each other. My Lolo told my Lola his regrets on not finishing his education. He really wanted to finish his studies. After my Lolo said it, my Lola just smiled, looked at my Lolo and said "Kung tinapos mo yung pag-aaral mo edi sana hindi mo ako nakilala.." - I laughed and touched by that line of my Lola...

Sometimes in our lives we have many regrets because our plans in life didn't come up and meet our expectations just like my Lolo. But have you you ever wonder when you look at your past you won't be here today and meeting the person that God has reserved for you for the rest of your life... We often blame other people and even God for not giving you the person that you want too. The good-looking person, charming and have a good sense of humor etc...

People always use to say, true love waits, well, it's true! because it applies patience and trusting God that He will give you to the very best person that deserves you! Kinda awkward to hear huh? "He will give you to the very best person that deserves you". But this is really the right perspective:)

Life is all about giving. Live to give. Instead of saying "Lord, may You give me the person that has this characteristics and has this looks" but rather "Lord, help me to be perfect to the person that deserves me for You to be glorified". Don't be afraid for who's blessed person that God is meant for you but be excited about it. Whoever he or she is, like the old lady that I mentioned earlier "It's easy to learn to love. You just need to decide."

POINTERS
1) Learn to trust God in your love life for He Makes You Love Story!
2) Go back to number 1

A Dream of Great Love

It was 5:30 in the morning of July 4, 2010 when I woke up because of a dream.
I dreamed of teaching somebody like Charsel(A student of my mom that is too hard to teach). In my dreams I have to cut his eyes(but it is not bleeding ok? the purpose of it is just to make him blind) with a blade so that he couldn't see, obey my instruction and not harm me while teaching him how to post the drawings on a painter's board. I did cut his eyes because I want him to learn. I love him although he already hurt me many times and other teachers already gave up on him. But I still choose to love him beyond what had happened in the past. While the lesson of drawing is being done, the Lord impressed me that I was the student in my dream. When I realized it, my tears starts falling on my eyes. I couldn't stop crying that time because I knew that I'm really like the student in my dream. His love overwhelmed me as I realized my dream. I can imagine that time He is looking at me with a smile "na parang wala akong ginawang mali". His love covers my sins that no matter how great it is, He still choose to love me. As I open my eyes(but still crying), I ask forgiveness to the Lord. Although my eyes are already opened, I could see clearly that after the lesson, my student told me that he loves me then he hug me afterward. I felt joy in my heart as my student hug me. Although it is just a dream, I know at that moment, God felt joy in His heart because I ask forgiveness to Him and realize how great His love really is...
